Since 2005, His Holiness Gayuna Cealo and many Direct Action volunteers have supported the hand-woven silk village project in Cambodia. By supporting the silk village project, we experience great joy from joining Cealo’s works of compassion and we get to share the love the silk weavers give to their craft. It is truly beautiful, hand-woven-work we support.

With guidance from the Hope of Cambodia (NGO) and Shien Tokyo, technical guidance is given to the weavers to revive traditional silk making techniques. Working together, we serve each other including the village people and our team members who are working at Cealo’s Direct Action Center in Cambodia in the process. Ultimately, the silk village project supports the self-sufficiency of the silk village. We would like to keep moving forward and we hope you will join us in the weaving of hearts all over the world through the silk village project.
